How to take Thailand Visa online photos for babies and kids

When taking pictures of babies and children for visa, many of the same rules apply; for example, they must still adhere to the dress code, and the photograph must be high-quality and well-lit.

If you are photographing a newborn:
Spread a white sheet out over the floor.
Place the baby down on the sheet and take their photograph against it.

For slightly older babies:

Prop them up in a child’s chair against a white sheet.
If they are still unable to hold up their head, prop it up for them using a hand behind the sheet. Ensure no one else is visible in the shot.

Frequently Asked Questions

May I use a normal phone selfie for a Thailand visa photo?

Certainly, provided the image satisfies all official criteria. Our software enables you to turn your selfie into a legal visa photo.

What should I wear for the picture?

Dress in patternless, simple attire. Steer clear of white tops that might mix with the backdrop.

May I grin in the picture?

Thai visa regulations provide for a neutral face expression with your mouth closed, so no.

How current should the picture be?

It has to be from inside the last six months.

Is digital sufficient or should I have a physical copy?

That varies each embassy or consulate. We offer both editions to meet every demand.

Will PhotoGov address problems with background or lighting?

Certainly. Our program changes the backdrop to fit statutory standards and automatically changes brightness.

Can I Use the Thailand Visa Photo Editor on an iPhone or Android Phone?

Yes. Open photogov.net in the phone browser, upload a picture and download the finished file. No app is required; the PhotoGov app for iOS and Android does the same job if you prefer it.
